SOIL TESTING SOLUTIONS
Protest has a qualified and experienced soil testing team, and our clients benefit from their extensive knowledge.
Soil testing plays a crucial part in making sure your building project is a success, and more often than not, site classification is a compulsory first step in the building process.
SOIL ANALYSIS
Soil analysis is crucial for several reasons. First, the strength of your foundations is directly related to the quality of the soil on which you build. Additionally, the types of soil present at your project site will influence the materials and designs used in the construction.
Furthermore, the site classification derived from soil analysis helps builders and engineers plan the preparation of the building site and provides specific information necessary for designing appropriate foundations.
A soil test will generally include boreholes and insitu testing to determine your soil material types and subsurface conditions including groundwater (if encountered) and will comment on-site ground slope, trees, shrubs and organic material on the site, service trenches and water run-off.
SITE INVESTIGATION
A site investigation report will generally include soil classification, soil condition, water table analysis, ground slope analysis, trees, shrubs and organic material on the site, service trenches and water run-off.
It’s crucial to understand your soil structure in the planning stages of your build or foundations. Working with experienced soil testing and site classification consultants is the best way to do this.
